I define myself most clearly by my dedication to my family, community and country present, past and future. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts where many of my ancesters lived for generations and were, most likely, the original settlers. I am a graduate of Salem State College in Massachusetts where I earned a degree in Social Work. In the 1980s, I found it difficult to survive as a single parent in Massachusetts and moved to Delaware which I now call home today. I completed my graduate studies in Dover, Delaware and soon became a licensed therapist. My son and I both joined the Army in the 1990s and moved to the West coast. After several years as a Social Work officer in the Army, I decided to get out and pursue a doctorate in History. I currently work as a therapist in both Maryland and Delaware, and spend much of my free time with my adorable grandchildren in Delaware. I enjoy studying local history and telling tall tales to my grandsons.
